A native of Dryden, NY - Corey has a broad range of experience with athletics (Football, Basketball, & Baseball) as well as a physical therapy and personal training background. At the age of 13, he started working out in a gym setting and now has over a decade of hands on experience. His first two years of college were spent playing baseball at the collegiate level.
He then went on to SUNY Brockport to study Kinesiology (exercise science) and pre-physical therapy. Corey was able to shadow physical therapists and increase his knowledge base. In 2009 Corey transferred to the Pennsylvania State University where he would study Adventure-Based Programming. During this time, he took a year off to pursue his interest in personal training. He has also led over 30 self-supporting canoe/kayak/backpacking trips as well as other backcountry expeditions.
As of late, Corey worked for the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation in the summer of 2013 where he was an Assistant Forest Ranger/Steward. It is where his love for kayaking developed, and a new reason for using his athletic background. During this time, Corey lived in the Backcountry, doing work on trails and campsites. He hiked numerous mountains, including Mt Marcy (the highest peak in NY).
Corey has also trained over 500+ baseball players and was the TC3 Baseball Strength & Conditioning Coach in 2014. He is also responsible for developing and implementing specific programs for professional baseball players, including Tim Locastro who got called up to the Dodgers in 2017. His programs involve dynamic rotation as well as cutting edge periodization.
